Data We Collect
- No server collection: We do not collect or store your personal data on a backend server.
- No analytics: We do not use analytics SDKs or tracking tools.
- No cookies: This website does not use cookies or tracking pixels.
Local On-Device Storage
The app stores limited information locally on your device using Apple’s native UserDefaults for convenience and app functionality.
- Saved favourites (e.g., device nicknames / identifiers).
- Recent “pings” received (local activity messages) to show helpful context to the user.
This information stays on your device unless you choose to delete it by removing favourites, clearing the app’s data, or uninstalling the app.
Bluetooth Use
Jamat App uses Bluetooth to discover nearby devices and exchange simple local signals to support nearby congregation discovery. Bluetooth discovery and messages are processed locally.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not integrate ad networks or third-party analytics.
Your Choices
- You can disable Bluetooth permission in iOS Settings (discovery may not work).
- You can remove favourites in the app to delete local saved entries.
- You can delete the app to remove locally stored app data.
Children’s Privacy
Jamat App is not designed to collect personal information from children. Since the app does not send personal data to a server, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

1. Overview
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Jamat App (“the App”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
2. What the App Provides
The App helps users discover nearby areas where prayer in congregation may be taking place using Apple’s native Bluetooth APIs. The App does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or timeliness of any nearby information.
3. No Medical, Emergency, or Safety Service
The App is provided for informational and community convenience purposes only. It is not an emergency service and should not be relied upon for safety-critical decisions.
4. Acceptable Use
- You agree to use the App lawfully and respectfully.
- You must not attempt to interfere with the App’s operation, reverse engineer it, or misuse Bluetooth features.
- You must not use the App to harass, track, or harm others.
5. Permissions
The App may request permissions such as Bluetooth access. If you deny permissions, some features may not work. Permission management is controlled in iOS Settings.
6. On-Device Storage
The App may store preferences and recent activity (such as received “pings”) locally on your device using Apple’s UserDefaults. This data is intended to support app functionality and improve the user experience.
7. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Your device and iOS system services (Apple frameworks) may still handle basic OS-level operations required to run the App.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will update the effective date on this page.
